Everything you always wanted to know about… GET

I got a new student! It’s thrilling! Nothing can be taken for granted now. I need to get to know the New Student’s learning style, language needs and goals. He’s learning my way of teaching. After two-three lessons we usually know if we want to learn together. I’m really happy that the New Student decided to give it a try. I’m thrilled because it’s an opportunity to have a fresh look at my teaching. It implies challenges, new goals and… new handouts 😀 The newest handout was a kind of challenge for me. The New Student made a confession: GET confuses me. I couldn’t ignore it. I’m not used to making lessons around a single word but I accepted this challenge and made a handout sponsored by the verb GET. There is no authentic material (yet!) but a lot of speaking and interaction with the teacher or other students. The New Student enjoyed it! Hope your students will like the GET handout too. Happy teaching!
