As you might already know – I adore Ellen DeGeneres! I enjoy not only her programmes but also her hilarious games.
Have you heard about her application Heads Up? Not yet? It is an amazing tool for your English classes!
Why? How does it work? The rule is very simple – you have to guess the word on the card which is on your head. Your partner provides clues such as words or sounds and you have to guess the word before the timer runs out!
Check some of the games:
Or maybe with your group? 🙂
Categories which are perfect for English classes:
2. Act it out (you have to mime and act out the action on the card)
3. Accents and impression (a tough one)
4. Animals gone wild (sooo coool!)
5. Just for kids (you have to explain the word without using the word)
You can play it in pairs, groups or maybe one person and the group as in the Ellen’s video above, it is up to you!
To sum up, it’s brilliant because it’s an app, which means no printing, no hardcopies!
You just need a smartphone or a tablet!
And the coolest part – the app is for FREE (for Android)!
